The Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences announces that Amanda Wakim has been named to the dean’s list for the summer 2012 semester. Wakim, who is pursuing a doctor of pharmacy, is set to graduate in 2013. She is the daughter of Randa and Naji Wakim of Haverhill.

Endicott College announces that Kaitlin Bresnahan has received a Nadine Bolen Memorial Scholarship. Bresnahan, a member of the class of 2014, is majoring in nursing. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bresnahan of Haverhill.

Major General Patrick Murphy, The Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership. Sean Mclaughlin from Haverhill, serving with the Operations Company, 42nd Infantry Division, has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Four Haverhill residents were recently honored at the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s second annual Celebration of Scholarship Luncheon. Honorees included — Gabriella Diaz, Brian McGravey, Maura Pinard, Mary Provencher.

The following local residents made the dean’s list for the fall 2012 quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology — Cole Bowden of Bradford, Parker Merrick of Haverhill, and Emily Suplinskas of Haverhill.

Stacy Herook, a freshman at Trine University and a graduate of Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, is competing in distance running on the university’s indoor track and field team.
