Late-night fight results in stabbing in Haverhill

HAVERHILL - A teenager was stabbed several times after an incident late Saturday night on Cedar Street.

Police received a report of a large fight following a house party in the vicinity of 3 Cedar St. at 11:30 p.m.

A 17-year-old boy was stabbed several times during the altercation and taken to Lawrence General Hospital for treatment.

Police said the teen was wearing several layers of clothes, which prevented his injuries from being more severe.

The incident remained under investigation by Detective William O’Connell.

No further information was being released by police last night.
