The Riverside-Bradford Baseball League will hold walk-in registrations for the 2013 season on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Haverhill YMCA, 81 Winter St.
Children ages 5 to 14 as of April 30 are eligible to participate. Registration will also be held Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to noon. Player evaluations for the Single A, Double A, Triple A, Major A and RB13 divisions will be held at the Consentino Middle School gymnasium on Feb. 24 and March 3. The Haverhill Girls Softball League will hold open registrations for girls ages 5 to 16 on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Elks Lodge on Summer Street.

You can bid on dinner for two in the Newburyport Light House, children’s items, trips, pro game tickets, restaurant gift certificates, rounds of golf and more when Opportunity Works holds its 29th annual Lend-a-Hand Auction.
The event is Feb. 23 from noon to 9 p.m. and will be televised live on local Comcast public access channels in the Greater Haverhill and Greater Newburyport communities, as well as streamed online at www.portmedia.org. More than 600 items will be offered during the live event.
A special preview and pre-bidding of all auction items will be open to the public Feb. 21 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Nock Middle School in Newburyport. Online pre-bidding of certain items is available until Feb. 18 at www.biddingforgood.com/opportunityworks. High bids from the online auction will be transferred to Preview Night and those high bids will be transferred to the live televised auction.
