HAVERHILL — They talked business and about the economic outlook — and even chatted a bit about hockey.
And why not? Their guest speaker is an expert on the winter game.
The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce Membership Services Committee, in partnership with Exclusive Sponsor Haverhill Bank, hosted Rick Middleton, former captain of the Boston Bruins, as the featured speaker at the 23rd annual Business Awards Breakfast on Feb. 8.
The event was at Renaissance Golf Club, 377 Kenoza St. Middleton is also a and recent inductee into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame.
The chamber’s Membership Services Committee holds this event to recognize member businesses that have been active in the chamber and the community throughout the year. The breakfast honored businesses that received the Business of the Month awards for 2012. The chamber also recognized annual award recipients who have supported the chamber and their community in 2012.
