This event is sponsored by Allied Computer Brokers. Items accepted for free include VCR and DVD players, printers, fax machines and copiers, stereos, clock radios, treadmills and grills. Computer monitors are $10 to dispose of and television sets are $15. Fees vary for items such as air conditioners and microwave ovens.
Campaign kickoff for LePage
City Councilor Colin LePage will kick off his reelection campaign Wednesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Han’s Garden restaurant and lounge, 114 Washington St.

Glow Ball Golf Tournament Friday
Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill, Inc. will hold its annual Glow Ball Golf Tournament on Friday at Murphy’s Garrison Golf Center on Hilldale Avenue.
Check in is at 6 p.m. and play begins at dusk. Cost of $50 per golfer includes nine holes of golf, prizes, raffles, an auction and a cookout. Glow balls will be provided. Mary and Ted Murphy have been hosting this event for the past 11 years with help from Rebuilding Together board members and volunteers.

Proceeds benefit Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill in helping eligible homeowners with no-cost repairs and modifications ensuring safety, warmth and independence. Rebuilding Together Greater Haverhill serves Haverhill, Groveland, Georgetown, Boxford, West Newbury, Merrimac, and Plaistow, N.H. Participating homeowners are low-income elderly, disabled, veterans, and families with young children.
Applications are being received for Rebuilding Day, which takes place annually throughout the country on the last Saturday in April. The next Rebuilding Day is April 26.
Jazz performance on tap
The music of jazz pianist and composer Thelonious Monk will be performed by Bobby Spellman and Friends at the Chit Chat Lounge, 103 Washington St., on Sunday from 6 to 10 p.m.
A West Newbury native and jazz trumpeter, Spellman will be performing music by eccentric bebop icon Thelonious Monk and will be joined by drummer and Ipswich native Connor Baker, as well as Boston-based improvisers Tyler Burchfield, Damien Scalise, and Frank Ojeda. Admission is free. This is a 21-and-older event.
