The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the grand opening of its New Hampshire satellite office at 95 Plaistow Road, Suite 4, Plaistow, with an open house on Jan. 8 from 2 to 6 p.m.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be at 5 p.m. Chamber members, elected officials and the public are invited to welcome Warren Gerety, manager of the Southern New Hampshire division, meet the rest of the staff and enjoy complimentary food and beverages.
The chamber serves Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimac and West Newbury; and the Southern New Hampshire communities of Atkinson, Danville, East Kingston, Hampstead, Kingston, Newton, Plaistow and Sandown.

Alumni hockey games are Saturday
The fourth annual Haverhill High alumni hockey games will be Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Skating Rink.
Donation is $50. Checks should be made payable to the Haverhill Hockey Boosters. Checks should be sent to Joe Roberts, Hockey Alumni, 1025 Boston Road, Haverhill, MA 01835. The elder hockey players will play their game first, followed by the younger ones. Organizers ask that everyone who played last year bring their shirts.
Immediately after the games, the alumni are welcome to watch the Hillies against Tewksbury at 6 p.m. Then alumni will go to J.P. McBride's on Essex Street at 8 p.m. for a night out.
Chamber hosts annual outlook breakfast
The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Municipal Outlook Breakfast Jan. 9 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Haverhill Country Club, 58 Brickett Lane.
Invited speakers from Boxford, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimac and West Newbury (the chamber's Massachusetts service area) will discuss issues related to their communities and their goals for 2009. Invited speakers include chairs of the Boards of Selectmen for these communities, as well as Haverhill Mayor James Fiorentini. They will be available for questions. The program will include topics such as taxes, education and an economic forecast.

Church hosts ham and bean supper
The First Church of Christ in Bradford will hold a ham and bean supper Saturday at 5 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children.
A handicapped accessible ramp is in the front of the church. Parking is in the rear.

Hospice seeks volunteers
The Beacon Hospice organization needs volunteers.
A hospice volunteer offers companionship and support ranging from short visits to writing letters, playing music, or just sitting quietly, holding a patient's hand.
Beacon Hospice's team approach to care focuses on comfort, dignity and peace for the patient and the patient's family. Volunteers must complete a comprehensive training program and will receive continuing support.
