Air-monitoring canister stolen

HAVERHILL — A canister used to monitor air flow in the alley on the side of the Bradford Gulf station was reported stolen.

Ian Coles of Sovereign Consulting Inc., of Foxborough, told Officer Victor Pellot his company left the Suma Canister, valued at $1,200, in the alley on Feb. 18, about 7:45 a.m.

When they went to retrieve it at 3:30 p.m. it was missing.

Coles told police that workers checked the area but were unable to locate it.

The theft was reported at 12:03 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
