The Council on Aging Giving Tree will be up on Monday.
Members of the community are invited to stop by the Citizens Center lobby at 10 Welcome St. and pick up gift tags. Gift ideas are noted on the tags. Women’s City Club to meet
The Women’s Club of Haverhill will meet on Tuesday at the Advent Christian Church, 160 Carlton St.
Coffee hour begins at 1:30 p.m., followed by the business meeting at 2 p.m. The program, which begins at 2:15 p.m., features Mikki Elliott as “The Crafty Story Teller.” Elliott, a retired teacher who is originally from Ohio, lives in New Hampshire. She enjoys living in New England and telling her entertaining stories to friendly groups.

The Council on Aging will host a free pizza lunch on Monday at 11:15 a.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

Free medical seminar Tuesday
Breast Care in the Elderly, a Medical Meet the Expert seminar with General Surgeon Kathryn Hughes, MD, is Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Merrimack Valley Hospital’s first floor auditorium.
Hughes will discuss breast cancer risk in elderly women, breast cancer screening strategies for elderly women, and the latest treatment and management of breast cancer in elderly women. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. One free contact hour in nursing is awarded at the end of the presentation.

Luncheon talk on Diabetic Foot Care
The 10 Rules of Diabetic Foot Care with Podiatric Surgeon Debra Eisner, DPM, is Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. in Merrimack Valley Hospital’s first floor auditorium.
Cost of $5 includes presentation and full lunch. Menu is sliced stuffed chicken breast with cream sauce, rice pilaf, peas and pearl onions, tossed salad with dressing, rolls, coffee, tea, lemon/mint water and pie. Merrimack Valley Hospital is at 140 Lincoln Ave.

Holiday Dance Program this weekend
A student-choreographed dance piece interpreting the loss of a loved one will be featured during Northern Essex Community College dance program’s annual holiday student dance performance titled “Gravity” on Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Sport and Fitness Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.
The student piece, titled “Needed Till the End,” is choreographed by Danielle Perrier and explores the emotions someone feels after the loss of a loved one. “Waiting for the Rain” is a dance number choreographed by Michelle Deane, NECC dance program coordinator.
This high-energy hip-hop dance piece will be performed by the hip-hop class.
At Northern Essex, you can prepare for a career in dance performance, choreography, dance education, dance therapy or dance studio operation.
Church plans spaghetti supper
The First Church of Christ, 10 Church St., Bradford, will hold a spaghetti supper on Saturday at 5 p.m. featuring a special musical guest.
Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children.
The event replaces the ham and bean supper for December. Ham and beans will be back in January.
