Northern Essex presents an afternoon of music

Northern Essex Community College’s Life Long Learning program will present Dolores Bourque, Marty Kriegsman and Dan Harvey, all of Haverhill, in an afternoon of music on July 25 at 2 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the college’s Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.

Admission is $2. The talented Bourque on the fiddle, Kriegsman on the guitar and Harvey on bass will provide an afternoon of entertainment. Life Long Learning is a program of lectures, study groups and trips for adults. All programs are open to the public.

Garden of the Month nominations sought

The Haverhill Garden Club is seeking nominations for its Garden of the Month program.

If you know someone who has an outstanding garden that could be the Garden of the Month for August, call 978-521-0872. The Garden Club is a member of the National Garden Clubs Inc., New England Region, and the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Northern District.

St. James 1963 class Reunion planned

St. James High School’s Class of 1963 has finalized plans for its 50th Class Reunion.

The event will be held Oct. 5 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Bradford Country Club. The committee is searching for addresses of the following classmates: Marcia (Bowe) Covell, Kathleen (Blinn) Raymond, Patricia (Donovan) Columbe, Laura (Dupuis) Wright, Maryanne (Durocher) Chagnon, Brian Faxon, Ed Gibney, Bill Godfrey, Charles Harley, Mary (Malynn) King, Marie (McCormick) Blendon, Paula Montiebianchi, Cecil (Pratt) Frechette, Ted Schiavoni, Richard Shok, John F. Sullivan and Lois Willette.

Spinners tickets available for Tuesday

The city’s Recreation Department and Council on Aging has tickets to the Lowell Spinners game on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
