Northern Essex presents an afternoon of music

---- — Northern Essex Community College’s Life Long Learning program will present Dolores Bourque, Marty Kriegsman and Dan Harvey, all of Haverhill, in an afternoon of music on July 25 at 2 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the college’s Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.

Admission is $2. The talented Bourque on the fiddle, Kriegsman on the guitar and Harvey on bass will provide an afternoon of entertainment. Life Long Learning is a program of lectures, study groups and trips for adults. All programs are open to the public.

The Haverhill Garden Club is seeking nominations for its Garden of the Month program.

St. James 1963 class Reunion planned

St. James High School’s Class of 1963 has finalized plans for its 50th Class Reunion.

The event will be held Oct. 5 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Bradford Country Club. Spinners tickets available for Tuesday

The city’s Recreation Department and Council on Aging has tickets to the Lowell Spinners game on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Library offers cooking class for teens Monday

GROVELAND — International Cooking for Teens with Nina Hunt will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Langley-Adams Library.

Airbrush Tattoo Party for grades six through 12 is Wednesday. Tribal Sun Airbrush will be designing tattoos for teenagers.

Dog rescue group plans fundraiser

AMESBURY — Sweet Paws Rescue will have a fundraiser at The Flatbread Company in Amesbury on Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Visitors can eat pizza, gather with friends and help support Sweet Paws, a shelterless nonprofit organization that has rescued more than 800 dogs since it was founded in 2011. The Flatbread Company will donate $3.50 for every large pizza ordered and $1.75 for every small. The Flatbread Company is located at 5 Market Square, Amesbury.
