Somebody Cares New England to host Spring Brunch

Somebody Cares New England will hold a Spring Brunch on Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Tickets are $25.

The event will include live music, a fashion show and boutique shopping and will be held at 358 Washington St.

YMCA to host Healthy Kids Day event

The Haverhill YMCA will celebrate “Healthy Kids Day” on Saturday, April 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the YMCA, 81 Winter St.

This free community event is open to all and is intended to get kids moving and learning, and families living healthier. Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of families and to help them get a jump on creating a healthier summer.

The event will include fun, active play and educational activities that will inspire kids to carry a spirit of excitement and exploration throughout their summer, including open gymnastics and rock climbing, Curious Creatures, food and play productions, basketball clinic, summer camp information and more.

All Saints Parish to host pork dinner

All Saints Parish will host a pork dinner on Saturday, April 20 following the 4 p.m. Mass.

The dinner will include beverages and dessert and is presented by the Activities Committee. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children. All are welcome.

Register now for Summer Courses at NECC

Northern Essex Community College is offering a variety of summer courses to help students lighten their load for an upcoming semester or complete their degree more quickly.

Courses are open to NECC students as well as to students from other colleges who are home for the summer. Registration is taking place now.

NECC offers three convenient summer sessions: Session one is May 14 through June 14 and classes meet three or four times a week. Session two is May 18 through July 27 and classes meet for 10 Saturdays.
