---- — The deadline to register to be able to vote in the June 25 special U.S. Senate election is tomorrow.

Massachusetts Secretary of State William F. Galvin said local election offices will be open until 8 p.m.

Persons who are U.S. citizens, residents of Massachusetts, and who will be at least 18 years old on or before June 25 are eligible to register. Voters who have moved within the state must register again to be able to vote at their new address.

The special election is between Republican Gabriel Gomez of Cohasset and Democrat Congressman Edward Markey of Malden to choose who will complete the term of Sen. John F. Kerry, who resigned to become U.S. Secretary of State.

Registrars of voters will be in session from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow except that in towns with fewer than 1,500 voters registrars must be open for registration at least from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8 p.m.
