---- — The Haverhill Cultural Council’s Make Some Noise Concert Series continues tomorrow at 6 p.m. with a performance by Analog Heart, acoustic alternative original rock with American Idol contestant Liz Bills. Opening act is from the DeAngelis Studio of Music.
All Make Some Noise performances are at Columbus Park on Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. until Aug. 15. In the event of rain, performances are at the Chit Chat Lounge on Washington Street. Weekly raffles feature prizes donated by local businesses.
The Haverhill Cultural Council’s mission with Make Some Noise is to provide a live performance space for local artists, and an opportunity for young musicians to perform.
Here is a schedule of upcoming shows: Aug. 1, Rockspring, a bluegrass, pop, rock, alternate-folk and country band with opening act from DeAngelis Studio; Aug. 8, Division Tree, psychedelic grooves with opening act from Be Imagine Music Studio; Aug. 15, EJ Ouellette and Crazy Maggy performing originals and fiddle-driven rock with opening act from Whole Music’s Whole Soul. Outdoor concert series continues Friday in Bradford
The sixth annual Bradford Common Outdoor Music Series continues on Friday with a performance by Paul Prue and the Bluesmen. Opening act is the 1947 Eddie Stellerman Night Club Show featuring music of the ‘40s.
Opening acts in the series begin at 6 p.m. on Bradford Common followed by featured acts at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a fun night out.
All performances are sponsored by the First Church of Christ and are free and open to the public. The series continues with Lee Lewis & the Ladies of Chanel on Aug. 2, Mike Cesati & Company on Aug. 9 and the Mike Fioretti Band on Aug. 16. The Aug. 23 show will be announced. Free concert at WinnekenniCastle is Sunday
Winnekenni Castle will host a concert by Rico Barr & The Jump ‘n’ Jive Review on Sunday, July 28 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The concert is on the castle’s outdoor stage and includes performances by jazz guitarist Gerry Beaudoin and vocalist Tyra Penn. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, parasols, friends and family. In the event of inclement weather, the show will take place inside the castle with seating provided.

Start of school announced
St. Joseph School of All Saints Parish announced its schedule for the new school year as follows: Monday, Aug. 26, teacher in-service day; Tuesday, Aug. 27, teacher in-service day (regional); Wednesday, Aug. 28, kindergarten to grade eight report for a full day; Thursday, Aug. 29, full day of classes for kindergarten to grade eight; Monday, Sept. 2, Labor Day, no school; Tuesday, Sept. 3, kindergarten to grade eight classes resume; Wednesday, Sept. 4, ECC begins. Parent meeting is at 6:30 p.m. in the gym.
The school will hold an open house for grades one through eight on Monday, Aug. 26 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Open house for pre-kindergarten and nursery is Tuesday, Sept. 3 from noon to 2:20 p.m. and from 5 to 6 p.m.
All students should be in the “big school” by 8:05 a.m. School begins at 8:15 a.m. All students should arrive at the ECC by 8:15 a.m. as instruction time begins at 8:45 a.m.
