The Haverhill High School lacrosse team will host an electronics recycling event on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon at Haverhill High, 137 Monument St.
Recycling fees will be donated to the lacrosse team help pay for uniforms and equipment. Fees range from $1 for items such as surge protectors and computer keyboards; $2 for items such as toasters and toaster ovens; $5 for items such as typewriters, space heaters, printers, cell phones and humidifiers; $10 items such as for pool pump motors, copiers and television sets smaller than 19 inches; $15 for items such as air conditioners: $20 for treadmills: and $25 for computer monitors and television sets 19 inches and larger.

METHUEN — The Dan Ford Foundation will hold its 5th Annual 5 Mile Run and 5K fun walk/run April 20 at 11 a.m. at the Fireside Restaurant & Pub,171 Pelham St.
A story in yesterday’s newspaper had the wrong day for the race.
The 5 mile-run is USATF certified, with cash prizes. The first 500 runners will be given T-shirts. There will be a post-race celebration and awards ceremony. Registration can be made online at www.danfordroadrace.com or the day of the race from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Day’s Hotel & Conference Center, first floor in Rose Grand Ballroom, 159 Pelham St.
Scrapbooking class offered
The Council on Aging is offering a Scrapbooking class beginning April 30.
The class will held at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St., and will be offered on the last Thursday of each month from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Instructor Carol Read will provide punches, stamps and texture plates. Students should bring photos or copies of photos and other items of interest. Cost is $15 per class, including materials. Dancers celebrate NECC dance history
Northern Essex Community College’s “Stillpoint Dance XL” will celebrate 40 years of dance at NECC at its spring dance performance on April 26 and April 27 at 8 p.m. in the Sport and Fitness Center of the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St.
