Police seeks two suspects in armed robbery of a pedestrian

---- — HAVERHILL — Police are asking the public’s help in finding two suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint while he was walking in the Mount Washington neighborhood.

Investigators said the 34-year-old victim was walking along Chick Avenue on Monday just after 5 p.m. and was on his way to meet another man in the Marble Street area when he was approached by two men, one of whom displayed a handgun.

Police said the victim handed over his wallet, which contained about $80 in cash along with personal papers and credit cards, as well as a phone and backpack.

Chick Avenue is off Washington Street in the Mount Washington neighborhood.

Police described one of the suspects as 25 to 35 years old, about 6-feet 2-inches tall and thinly built, with a teardrop tattoo under his left eye and dressed in a jean hoodie and shorts. The second suspect, the man who displayed a gun, is described as 6-feet tall with a reddish brown beard and dressed in a gray hoodie and gray pants.
