Council on Aging's holiday sale tomorrow

Council on Aging knitters and crafters will hold a holiday sale tomorrow from 9;30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Citizens Center, 10 Welcome St.

Hand-made items will be sold. Free coffee will be available.

Historical Society

to hold fundraiser

The Haverhill Historical Society will hold a “Dough Raiser” fundraiser on Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. at Uno Chicago Grill in Haverhill.

If you order lunch, dinner or take-out and present your waiter or waitress with a coupon, Uno’s will donate up to 20 percent of your total food bill to the Haverhill Historical Society, Buttonwoods Museum. Coupons will be available at the restaurant, and customers must ask for them. Visit the museum online at haverhillhistory.org.

Cocoa with Santa Dec. 1

Winnekenni Castle will host Cocoa with Santa on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Cost is $7 for children and $5 for adults. The events includes treats and sweets, hot and cold drinks (including cocoa), kiddie games and holiday activities by Little Sprouts Haverhill-NECC. Church to hold Christmas bazaar

St. James Parish will hold its Christmas bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. James School, 415 Primrose St.

The bazaar will feature vendors, crafts, food and a visit by Santa. More information is available by calling 978-372-8537.

Christmas Candlelight Tea Fundraiser

The Somebody Cares New England organization will host a Christmas Candlelight Tea on Saturday at 4 p.m. at 358 Washington St. Participants can enjoy food, friends and fashion. There will be live music, raffles and a fashion show with a live auction. Tickets are $25 each. Tickets are available at somebodycaresne.org or by calling 978-912-7626.

NECC Chorus to present holiday show

Holiday music spanning 600 years will be the centerpiece of the Northern Essex Community College chorus holiday showcase on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Hartleb Technology Center on the Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St. Admission is $5. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Soloists this year include Dan Smith of Haverhill and Rebecca O’Barr Salib of North Andover. Family holiday concert Sunday

Winnekenni Castle will host a free family holiday concert on Sunday at 2 p.m. Music Maximus returns to the castle to ring in the holidays with children’s music, traditional tunes, seasonal music and holiday music, including sing-a-longs. There will be a freewill offering to benefit Emmaus Inc. Refreshments will be available.
