The Armenian Apostolic Church at Hye Pointe in Haverhill will have its Autumnfest 2012 Bazaar on Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 7 p.m. at the church, 110 Main St.
Armenian and Middle Eastern dishes will be featured, including shish, losh, chicken kebab and kheyma dinners. The pastry table will offer choereg, paklava, khadayif with nuts and cream and other homemade pastries. There will be raffles for homemade gift baskets, cash and other items. The Country Store will have tourshi, relish, jams, grains and other items. Take-out orders are available by calling 978-372-9227. A special display of Alex and Ani Jewelry sponsored by Nazarian Jewelers will be available.
Buttonwoods accepts trees, wreaths this week
There is still time to drop off a decorated tree, wreath or centerpiece to be featured in the 11th annual “Christmas at the Buttonwoods: A Festival of Trees.”
Donations of decorated items can be brought to the museum tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday through Sunday (the last day for drop off) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event runs from Nov. 23 to Dec. 9 and will be open for viewing Tuesdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum is closed on Mondays.
You may also support the museum by buying advertising space in the Festival of Trees program booklet. Deadline for advertising is Nov. 11. Donated trees and wreaths will be raffled off at the conclusion of the event, with proceeds going to the Buttonwoods Museum. Family computer safety talk is Nov. 8
St. Joseph School of All Saints Parish will host a free lecture on computer safety for you and your family on Thursday at 7 p.m. in the school’s cafeteria, 56 Oak Terrace.
