PLAISTOW — The Timberlane Tornadoes youth football league is holding signups for its upcoming football and cheerleading seasons.

Hampstead Republican Committee to meet

HAMPSTEAD — J.P. Marzullo, vice chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Committee, will address the meeting of the Hampstead Republican Committee on Thursday at Hampstead Public Library at 9 Mary E Clark Drive. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting is open to anyone interested in hearing what is happening with the state budget process as well as what he, and others, are doing to revitalize the state committee.

NECC Summer Kids’ Program offers education, activities

HAVERHILL — Kitchen Chemistry, Spa Science, and May the Force be with You are a few of the science, technology, engineering, and math courses tO be offered this summer at Northern Essex Community College’s STEM College for Kids summer program.

Kitchen Chemistry looks at home kitchens as science labs, while Spa Science explores chemical reactions when making fizzers, lotions, and shampoo. May the Force Be with You studies gravity using games, toys, and experiments.

The junior division is for ages 9 to 11 and the senior division is for ages 12 to 14. The program will be held on the college’s Haverhill campus, 100 Elliott St. Four one-week sessions are: July 8 to 12, July 15 to 19, July 22 to 26, and July 29 to Aug. 2. Extended care is available before and after camp.

Participants enroll in three courses a day at a cost of $70 per course per week. The morning session runs from 9 to 11 a.m. The midday session is from 11:45 a.m. to 1:35 p.m. The afternoon session is from 2 to 4 p.m. The courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The program offers summer activities such as art games, collage, jewelry making, junk box creations, nature crafts, cartooning, digital photography, fact or fiction, fashion design, floral design, from script to screen, journalism, magical media, painting on silk, singers and songwriters, and world dance. Courses such as horticulture, T-shirt design, floral design, jewelry making, painting on silk, fashion design, and magical media require an additional $20 materials fee. Audition for Treble Chorus of New England

Breakfast for Tiffany on April 20

HAVERHILL — The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Methuen/Merrimack Valley team ‘Together For Tiffany’ is holding a pancake breakfast fundraiser on Saturday, April 20, from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s, 56 Plaistow Road.
