Free seminar on concussion and youth sports

METHUEN — “Concussion and Youth Sports — Keeping Their Heads in the Game,” a Medical Meet the Expert seminar with Orthopedic Surgeon Tahsin Ergin, MD, and certified athletic trainer Amy Wiggins will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Holy Family Hospital’s ground-floor auditorium.

Attendees will learn the nature of concussion injury, variability in response and recovery, current consensus recommendations for management of concussion in the young adult, and what concussion testing is, how it works and how results are used. Admission is free. Registration is required. Light refreshments will be served. One contact hour in nursing is awarded.
