PLAISTOW — “Braving the Middle Ground: Stories of Pre-Revolutionary Northern New England” is the theme of Dr. Jo Radner’s presentation Sept. 10 at the meeting of THS-REA, the Timberlane-Hampstead-Sanborn Retired Educators Association.
The presentation begins at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 120 Main St., Plaistow. This presentation is open to the public and donations are welcome.
Radner will trace the initial landings on the New England coast through settlements in the Merrimack Valley and the collision with Native Americans already calling this area home. She takes on the identity of a number of the early settlers in her presentation.
Members of local historical societies, DAR and community organizations are especially invited to attend this presentation.

Vendors/artists and others needed for Tattersall Farm Day
HAVERHILL — The Trustees of Tattersall Farm are seeking vendors, artists, craftsmen, agricultural demonstrators, and environmentalists/conservationists to participate in Tattersall Farm Day on Sunday, Sept. 22 from noon to 5 p.m. Rain date is Sept. 29. The farm is located at 542 North Broadway.
Vendor spaces are approximately 12- by 12-feet and select spaces are going quickly. Cost for artisans and vendors is $25 per space. Commercial and/or larger spaces negotiated upon request. Commercial vendors wares should be relative to farming, the environment, or conservation. Tattersall Farm Day celebrates the city’s agricultural heritage through a variety of demonstrations and activities. Boat ramp closesin Kingston
KINGSTON — The state boat ramp on Main Street will be under construction from Sept. 9 to Sept. 28.
The town’s boat ramp will remain open to the public. Delays in launch times should be expected.
