HAVERHILL — A city man told police the motion sensor lights on his driveway likely scared off some thieves who smashed the driver's side window of his SUV but fled when the lights came on.
The Lewis Street man told police he believed the vandalism to his 1998 Ford Explorer took place between 5:30 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday.
He told police he did not notice anything missing from the inside of the SUV. The damage was reported Monday at 11:51 a.m.
