Talk on breast care for the elderly Tuesday
Breast Care in the Elderly, a Medical Meet the Expert seminar with General Surgeon Kathryn Hughes, MD, is Tuesday from 6 to 7 p.m. in Merrimack Valley Hospital’s first floor auditorium.
Hughes will discuss breast cancer risk in elderly women, breast cancer screening strategies for elderly women, and the latest treatment and management of breast cancer in elderly women. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required. One free contact hour in nursing is awarded at the end of the presentation. Light refreshments will be served.

Church offers musical holiday performances
HAMPSTEAD — The Interfaith Choir offers its gift of music – Rejoice and Be Merry – in two free holiday performances this year.
The first performance is Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. at Hampstead Congregational Church, 61 Main St., Hampstead. The second performance is Dec. 9at 4 p.m. at Londonderry United Methodist Church, 258 Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
Celebrating its 47th year, the choir is composed of members from more than 20 local churches who are brought together by their common love of music and a desire to spread the Christmas message through instrument and voice. Director is Cindy Ladew and accompanist is Ginny Legare. A freewill offering will be taken and refreshments and fellowship will follow. More information is available by calling 603-432-4786.
