LAWRENCE — The City of Lawrence Election Division is mailing the 2014 annual census to all residences in the City of Lawrence. The form is printed in Spanish and English. It is important to complete and return the form so that the residence of each household member is established. The census is also used to develop the voting list to be used during the year. Responses to the city census also provides the city of Lawrence with statistical information necessary to plan and allocate the delivery of public services to the residents of Lawrence.
The form must be completed and returned within 10 days or as soon as possible. Postage on each return envelope is pre-paid and the return address is pre-printed for your ease and convenience. Help Us Help Others fundraiser Feb. 15
HAVERHILL — The “Help Us Help Others” organization will host a gala event on Feb. 15 at DiBurro’s in Ward Hill to benefit the Common Ground Cafe in Haverhill and the Mission of Hope School. The event is from 6 to 10:30 p.m. and will include live entertainment, music by a DJ, as well as silent and live auctions. For tickets visit www.huhogala.org. Tickets are $45 each.
Buster Keaton movie to screen at church
ANDOVER — Buster Keaton’s 1926 silent film, “The General” will be shown Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. with organist accompanist for silent films Peter Krasinski playing the Fisk Organ at Christ Church, 33 Central St.
Recognized as one of the great silent films, the coordinated sound track was not yet part of the movie experience when “The General” was released. Krasinski will provide musical background to enhance the movie’s action and actor’s mood on the screen.
