'Dough Raiser' at Uno tomorrow

Team Haverhill will hold a “Dough Raiser” fundraiser tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Uno Chicago Grill in Haverhill. If you order lunch, dinner or take-out and present your waiter or waitress with a coupon, Uno’s will donate up to 20 percent of your total food bill, including drinks, to Team Haverhill to help pay for this year’s downtown River Ruckus festival, scheduled for Sept. 7. Coupons are available for download on Team Haverhill’s Facebook page. Search for “Team Haverhill Dough” and click on the Uno coupon image to download.

The Haverhill Garden Club is seeking nominations for its Garden of the Month program. If you have a friend or neighbor who has an outstanding garden in your neighborhood that could be the Garden of the Month for June, please contact Jean at 978-521-0872. Memorial Day service in Groveland

GROVELAND — St. James Episcopal Church in Groveland and All Saints Episcopal Church in West Newbury will celebrate Eucharist and Memorial Day on Sunday, May 26, at 9:30 a.m. at Mill Pond (Route 113) in West Newbury. The event is rain or shine. The churches invite all to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen and a desire to rub shoulders with the apostles, saints, martyrs and reformers of all ages, the company of the angels and archangels, and all the company of heaven, as we worship with all our loved ones who have gone before us. Free workshop on e-books

The public library will host a free workshop on how to download library e-books on an e-reader using the OverDrive Media Console App on June 3 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This class is open to people with e-readers that have app capability. For patrons with other e-readers, the library is offering one-on-one instruction. Classes are limited to eight people and registration is now open.
