Furniture damaged at Emmaus House

HAVERHILL - Vandals slashed three seat cushions and a crib mattress at Emmaus House ion Sunday, police said.

A worker at the facility called police about 4:13 p.m. Tuesday to report the damage.

The cushions were onca couch in the common area and the crib was in a room.

All were slashed and cut open with a knife, police said.

The value of the damaged property was not available.

Officer Paul Malone is investigating.

Tires and rims stolen from car in Lawrence

LAWRENCE - Thieves stole the tires and rims from a 2007 Infiniti G35, and left the car propped up on blocks, police said.

Officer Eli Bernabe went to 27 Lenox Circle, about 8:29 a.m. Monday, where she spoke with the owner of the car, identified as Atanis Almanzar.

Police said Almanzar told them she had parked her car about midnight and when she returned to it at 6:30 a.m., found it up on blocks with all four tires and rims gone.

There are no suspects or witnesses, police said.
