The second annual Motorcycle Run & Fundraiser for Ozzie’s Kids will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the American Legion, 1314 Main St. Registration for the Motorcycle Run begins at 9 a.m. The run, hosted by the Haverhill Fire Department, starts at 11 a.m. at the American Legion and goes through Plaistow, Exeter and Hampstead, N.H. Cost is $20 per rider and $10 for passengers and includes food ticket. Even if you don’t ride a motorcycle, admission to this event is free. Food from the Chicken Connection will be available for purchase. A raffle will be held for signed sports memorabilia, a laptop computer and gift certificates to local restaurants, hair salons and other businesses. Face painting and tattoos for kids are 50 cents. Bake sale items range from 50 cents to $1. Craft table items are 50 cents. Children’s games are 50 cents. A visit from the Ghostbusters is from 11 a.m. to noon. Santa Claus visits from noon to 1 p.m. A presentation by Zoo Creatures is from 1 to 2 p.m. DJ Brittany Buzzell and Kids Karaoke is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Times and special events are subject to change. All money raised goes to support Ozzie’s Kids for this Christmas season.
Meet the city’s new Special Education director
Haverhill Special Education Parents Advisory Council (Haverhill SEPAC) will host a meet and greet with new Special Education Director, Theresa Senio tomorrow, Sept. 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the Burnham School, 45 Fountain St. Haverhill SEPAC is looking for ways to educate the community about special education, what it is and what it is not.
