Haverhill police log

HAVERHILL — A GPS device and its power cord and a MP3 player were stolen from a car parked in front of the owner's home on Mears Farm Road, police said.

The owner told police he believed the thieves were in the area between midnight and 1 a.m. Tuesday, and that his children heard a car turning around in the cul de sac about that time.

The theft was reported at 11:31 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Arrest: Gene Young, 44, 2 Prospect St., driving after suspension, Hilldale Avenue, 3:40 p.m.

Disturbance: 20 Thorndike St., 5:41 p.m.
