Country living in Kensington, N.H.

Built in 1757, the center chimney antique colonial at 8 North Road in Kensington, N.H. is truly a remarkable home. It features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, an updated kitchen, a large addition that includes a one-car garage stall, and an enormous six-stall barn.

Situated on 3.15 acres of pristine fenced and landscaped property, the home offers country living just minutes from the shops and restaurants of Exeter and the beaches of Hampton and Seabrook.

Upon arrival at the home, residents and guests are welcomed by the charming historic architecture and the serene sounds of nature. It is truly an ideal farm property.

Indoors, the house features the original wide pine floors, six spectacular fireplaces, two staircases, and various other period details.

The front entrance leads to a warm and inviting entry foyer. To the right is a large parlor and to the left is the grand dining room with built-in shelving and cabinets. Each room boasts an original wood-burning, brick-surround fireplace.

The side porch has its own entrance that leads into the large keeping room, which has a large cooking fireplace with original bread oven, and flows into the formal living room, which has its own built-in shelving.

The spacious kitchen at the rear of the house has been updated to include all the modern necessities. There is tiled flooring, an abundance of counter space, an eat-in area, built-in cabinets, and a wood stove.

Additionally, there is a spectacular screened-in porch just off the kitchen. It would be great for more entertainment space, or just as a special spot to curl up with a good book or a cup of coffee.

Upstairs, the master bedroom features two spacious closets, a fireplace, and a spectacular master bathroom with dual sinks, a jetted tub, and a separate shower. There are three additional bedrooms, two of which have fireplaces as well, and a full bathroom.
