BREAKING: Lantigua to concede to Rivera

LAWRENCE - Mayor William Lantigua said this evening he will concede to challenger Daniel Rivera.

In a statement to a Spanish language radio show in Lawrence, Lantigua said: "It is time to give Mr. Rivera his chance."

Rivera, prevailed by 81 votes in a recount of the more than 15,000 ballots recounted on Saturday.

Originally, Lantigua lost to Rivera by less then 60 votes the night of the Nov. 5 election.
