Lawrence Democrats caucus Feb. 22

LAWRENCE - City Democrats will hold a caucus Feb. 22 at 9 a.m. at the Reliefs In, 1 Market St., to elect delegates and alternates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s 2014 Endorsing Convention.

All Lawrence Democrats who are registered by Jan. 31, 2014 are eligible to be a delegate. The caucus is open to members of the press and Democrats who are ineligible to run or vote.

The Lawrence Democratic Caucus will elect 46 delegates and 18 alternates to the 2013 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. Those not selected as Delegate and/or Alternate, who meet the qualifications, may apply to be add-on delegates as youth, minority, and disabled.

The 2014 Massachusetts Democratic Party’s Endorsing Convention will be held June 14 at the DCU Center in Worcester to vote for Democrats for Statewide Office to appear on the Democratic Primary.
