Haverhill Police on the lookout for alleged bank robber

HAVERHILL — A man walked into a downtown Haverhill bank just before closing yesterday, handing a teller a deposit slip that stated he had a gun and bombs, and wanted money.

The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Haverhill Police received the call about the robbery at the TD Bank on 153 Merrimack St. around 5:03 p.m. yesterday. The suspect left the bank on foot, heading east on Merrimack Street.

He is described as tall and thin — about 6-feet tall, weighing 180 to 200 pounds. He was last seen in khaki pants and a blue American Eagle hoodie.
