Methuen police target suspects in home invasions

Both from Lawrence -- one arrest -- another being sought

METHUEN — Police have one suspect in custody and have obtained an arrest warrant to charge another one in connection with two separate home invasions last night.

Chief Joseph Solomon said police have arrested Carlos Rivera, 20, of Lawrence in connection with the Larchwood Road home invasion. Rivera has numerous outstanding warrants, the chief said.

Meanwhile, police have obtained an arrest warrant for another Lawrence man — Anthony Rodriguez, 22, of May St., for the armed home invasion on Ingalls Court. That warrant charges Rodriguez with armed home invasion, assault by means of a dangerous weapon (a firearm) and larceny over $250.

Police urged anyone who sees Rodriguez to call 911 and not approach him. He is regarded as armed and dangerous.
