Police investigate 7 armed robberies in Lawrence

LAWRENCE — Police are investigating at least seven armed robberies reported during the weekend.

Most of the robberies happened Saturday night.

A Pizza Hut delivery driver reported being robbed at gunpoint near 30 Byron Ave. at 10:29 p.m. Saturday. Less than a half hour later, a victim reported being struck in the head with a gun and robbed near 535 Hampshire St.

Another victim was robbed at gunpoint near 26 Farnham St. That robbery was reported at 11:23 p.m.

A resident of 135 Exeter St. reported being robbed on North Parish Road at 7:42 p.m. Other armed robberies were reported on Eutaw and Brookfield streets.

Sunday morning a woman called police and said her son had been robbed at gunpoint.

Detectives are investigating the robberies, police said. Further details were not available last night.
