Jeep crashes into Toyota

HAVERHILL — A 1999 Jeep Wrangler failed to stop at a stop sign Friday night, crashing into a 2003 Toyota Camry.

The Jeep, from New Hampshire, was driving down Amesbury Road around 5:05 p.m. when it went through the intersection without stopping and hit the Toyota. The driver and passenger in the Toyota were both from Bradford.

Haverhill EMS transported all members of the crash to Lawrence General Hospital. Their injuries are believed to be minor.

Off-duty Haverhill firefighters happened to be near the scene of the accident, and were the first to respond.

Haverhill police issued a citation to the driver of the Jeep for failing to stop at a stop sign and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

Authorities would not release the names of those involved.
