“We’re glad we got two more handguns off the street. The tests will determine whether they’re linked. Who lives in the house is yet to be determined. Who lives there and who pays the rent will be part of the investigation.”
Solomon said police are investigating whether the Methuen murder is connected to last week’s shooting death of Edgar Ramos in Lawrence.
Ramos, 25, of 343 Lowell St., Lawrence, suffered four gunshot wounds to the chest just before midnight Friday on Oct. 18 at the intersection of Essex and Oxford streets. He died a short time later at Lawrence General Hospital.
“It is an angle we are looking at, but it’s been undetermined whether there is any connection,” Solomon said.
The district attorney has asked that anyone with information to call Methuen Police at 978-983-8676.
