Three seek seats on Hampstead Budget Committee

HAMPSTEAD — Three newcomers are vying for two open seats on the town Budget Committee.

Stephen Londrigan, Chris Howe and Ann Howe are seeking three-year terms. None of the three candidates running have any elective experience.

What is the most important issue facing the Budget Committee? :The expansion of reserve funds along with contingency funds are resulting in the town holding larger amounts of funds and marginalizes the budget process.

Name: Chris Howe

Age: 50

Occupation: Unemployed

Incumbent: No

What is the most important issue facing the Budget Committee?: I want to balance the needs of the community with the costs of providing services, and to save money for the taxpayer when possible.

Name: Ann Howe

Age: 49

Occupation: Risk and opportunity manager

:What is the most important issue facing the Budget Committee?: The current tough economic climate. Getting the most from each taxpayer dollar, for the benefit of the community, is the most challenging issue we face.
