In the second series of arrests Thursday four people were arrested on drug charges.
Eric Dearborn, 23, of 8 Kerry Lane, Nashua, N.H., Samantha Gervais, 20, of 6B Dugout Road, Hudson, N.H., and David Moore, 25, of 1 Edgar Court, Hudson, N.H., were all charged with possession of a class A drug, heroin. In addition, Moore was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and Morgan Patterson, 25, of 2 Maddison Drive, Hudson, N.H., was charged with trespassing.
At around 6:51 p.m. Thursday, McLellan and the other officers in the unit followed two cars with New Hampshire plates, and later two more cars, as they engaged in what appeared to be suspicious activity, including following each other in a line, stopping and starting, and getting in and out of the cars at various locations.
One car was stopped in a parking lot at Fulton and Haverhill streets, where Dearborn, Gervais and Moore were arrested after detectives observed a hypodermic syringe and heroin in the car. They were searched, and more drugs were found.
The other car with New Hampshire plates was stopped in a parking lot of Lawrence General Hospital where Patterson and Moore were arrested.
On Wednesday, the drug enforcement unit arrested five people in an Exchange Street apartment, where police seized cash, heroin, cocaine, guns and cell phones. Earlier in the day, they arrested one person in a Falmouth Street apartment after finding guns, heroin, cocaine and ammunition.
