Man hospitalized after rollover crash

METHUEN — A man was hospitalized today at about noon after crashing an SUV through a fence on East Street.

Witnesses at the scene said the GMC Jimmy rolled at some point, crashed through the fence and landed upright against a second-floor deck on a house at One Weisner Parkway.

The driver, whom police did not identify, fled on foot. Police, using a dog, found the man they suspect was the driver with visible injuries and had him transported to the hospital, police said.

No one else was injured.

Martineau's Towing pulled the truck from the porch and set it on its wheels in the yard before removing it.

Police are still investigating the crash.
