Pedestrian seriously hurt in Sandown crash

SANDOWN — An unidentified female pedestrian was flown by medical helicopter to a Boston hospital after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Main Street.

The accident occurred about 4:30 p.m. near 120 Main St., according to Sandown fire Capt. David Cheney.

The victim’s name and age were unavailable.

Cheney said about 5:45 p.m. that authorities were still investigating what happened and could not release information about the accident.
