Truck hits front of Londonderry store

LONDONDERRY — No one was injured when a heavy-duty pickup struck the front of the Nutfield Country Store yesterday afternoon.

John Crisp, 51, of Nashua told police his foot got stuck between the gas and brake pedal when he was pulling his truck into a parking space in front of the store yesterday afternoon.

The silver 2005 Dodge 2500 jumped over the curb and plowed into the front of the store, just missing a female customer inside, Detective Christopher Olson said.

The woman told police it felt like the truck was coming right into the store, Olson said.

The store is at the corner of Mammoth Road and Shasta Drive. The call came in to police at 2:41 p.m.

There was significant damage to the front wall of the store and windows shattered. A building inspector responded to the scene.

No charges are anticipated against Crisp, Olson said.
