'Poor communications' leads to brief search for missing woman

ANDOVER — A state police helicopter and a Burlington Police Department bloodhound unit joined Andover police early last night in a search for a barefoot 28-year-old Andover woman.

The family told Andover police the woman was last seen leaving her home in the High Plain Road area Friday night and feared that she might be at risk.

But police called off the search after learning of “poor communications” between the family and the woman, who apparently had left a message that her family missed, according to police.
