METHUEN — A robber fired a gun at a Haverhill Street gas station employee who was shoveling snow last night, police said.

No one was injured in the incident, which was reported to police at 6:55 p.m. by an employee of All American Gas, 21 Haverhill St.

The employee told police he was shoveling snow at the gas station when an unknown person demanded money from him. When the employee refused, the male suspect brandished a gun and fired a single shot, police said.

“The suspect fled on foot,” reads an incident summary. “The victim was not injured and no money was taken.”

The robbery attempt is being investigated by Officer Arthur Hardy and Detective Thomas McMenamon Jr. The suspect was dressed in dark clothing and is described as approximately 18 to 26 years old, and between 5-feet-7 to 5-feet-11 with a thin build.
