Residents report gunshots

HAVERHILL — Police received calls from residents who heard gunshots on Grove Street near Swasey’s Field Friday night.

At about 6:34 p.m., residents complained to police about a large group of males arguing on Grove Street.

As police were en route to the scene, witnesses heard guns shots and the group of males fled before police arrived.

They are believed to have fled down Broadway.

Police interviewed witnesses and found bullet casings at the scene, but did not make any arrests. The investigation is ongoing.
