Missing N.H. girl found safe in Vermont

ALSTEAD, N.H. -- A 16-year-old New Hampshire girl reported missing after leaving her high school Friday morning was found alive and well early today in Vermont.

Alexandra Cuevas was safely returned to her parents, police said. They said the circumstances of her disappearance are still under investigation and did not say where or how she was found or whom she was with.

She was last seen leaving Fall Mountain High School about 7 a.m. Friday in a dark-colored sedan. She was found about 12:30 a.m. today.

Allstead is in southwestern New Hampshire, less than 10 miles from the Vermont border
