Woman robs East Derry store

DERRY — Police are looking for a woman who robbed East Derry General Store on Sunday night.

The woman told the clerk she had a gun, but none was shown, according to police.

She fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash shortly after 6 p.m., according to Derry police Capt. Vern Thomas.

The suspect, captured on video by surveillance camera, left the East Derry Road store in a blue, four-door Dodge Neon, Thomas said.

She is described as about 5 feet 4 inches tall with blonde hair, blue or green eyes, and weighing approximately 120 to 130 pounds, Thomas said.

The woman wore a green hooded sweatshirt under a black North Face jacket, jeans and sneakers, Thomas said.

It’s not known if there are any accomplices, Thomas said. No customers were in the store at the time, he said.

Anyone with information is asked to call or contact Detective Chris Talbot at 432-6111 or ctalbot@derrynhpolice.com.
