Woman robs East Derry store

DERRY — Police are looking for a woman who robbed East Derry General Store on Sunday night.

The woman told the clerk she had a gun, but none was shown, according to police.

She fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash shortly after 6 p.m., according to Derry police Capt. Vern Thomas.

The suspect, captured on video by surveillance camera, left the East Derry Road store in a blue, four-door Dodge Neon, Thomas said.

She is described as about 5 feet 4 inches tall with blonde hair, blue or green eyes, and weighing approximately 120 to 130 pounds, Thomas said.

The woman wore a green hooded sweatshirt under a black North Face jacket, jeans and sneakers, Thomas said.

It’s not known if there are any accomplices, Thomas said. No customers were in the store at the time, he said.
