NH school in lockdown, area searched for armed man

KEENE, N.H. (AP) — A least one school in Keene, N.H., — the high school — is under lockdown as police search for an armed man in the area.

Cheshire County Attorney Peter Heed said police are in pursuit of an "armed individual" in West Keene this morning.

He referred further questions to the Keene Police Department. A call was not immediately returned.

Keene High School was under lockdown. A message was left with Co-Superintendent of Schools William Gurney seeking more details.
