Campagnone Common cleanup tomorrow

LAWRENCE — The city hopes to recruit up 2,000 residents and friends of the city to take part in the Clean Lawrence initiative at Campagnone Common tomorrow.

The cleanup at Campagnone Common is in collaboration with Groundwork Lawrence and Comcast Cares Day. “I am excited to celebrate Earth Day with our city,” said Mayor Daniel Rivera. “A huge effort in making Lawrence better is having pride in our city, and we all have an opportunity to do that; by cleaning up our parks and streets together on Earth Day.”

The cleanup will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“The more people that join our efforts, the cleaner our city gets,” Rivera said.
