I-93 drivers: Delays, lane closures expected

More than $160 million in work along I-93 this season

Night paving is scheduled overnight tomorrow through Thursday on I-93 north from the Salem welcome center to the Exit 1 ramp. Traffic will be restricted to one lane from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Last week, crews were installing a concrete barrier overnight along I-93 south in Salem, reducing traffic to one lane.

That work was related to the $43 million interchange, bridge and ramp project under contract with George R. Cairns & Sons of Windham.

DOT’s advice to drivers: “Motorists should remain alert while traveling through the construction zone and obey all posted signs.”
