Dambrosio ordered held without bail at arraignment

LAWRENCE — The 18-year-old Methuen man accused yesterday of making generalized terroristic threats on Facebook was ordered held without bail at his arraignment in district court this morning.

Cameron Dambrosio, 19 Glen Ave., Methuen, was arrested in Methuen yesterday afternoon and charged with making terroristic threats after a student reported "alarming" language on his Facebook page to school officials, Police Chief Joseph Solomon said yesterday.

Dambrosio, wearing a black t-shirt, gray sweatpants and blue sneakers, was shackled and handcuffed in court. He did not speak. A probable cause hearing was scheduled for May 9.

A clerk magistrate set his bail yesterday after his arrest at $1 million. Making a terroristic threat is a felony with a prison sentence of between three and 20 years, according to state law.

Solomon said the comments Dambrosio posted on his Facebook page were not aimed at specific people or targets, but threatened general violence.

“(Expletive) the Boston bombing, wait til you see what I do. I’m going to be famous,” Solomon said Dambrosio wrote. “And (Dambrosio wrote) he’s going to beat every murder charge brought against him.”
