Man killed in Haverhill double-stabbing

HAVERHILL — The murder of a 24-year-old man who was stabbed on Grove Street remained under investigation last night.

Misael Lima, 24, died at Merrimack Valley Hospital after the 1:25 a.m. double-stabbing early yesterday at 11 Grove St., authorities said.

Lima is the fourth person murdered in the city this year. Authorities did not say where Lima was living.

Another man, whom police did not identify, was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for treatment of stab wounds. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, authorities said.

No arrests were made in connection with the stabbings yesterday and the motive for the deadly assault is still unclear, police said last night.

While the stabbing occurred on Grove Street, both injured men were taken to Merrimack Valley Hospital by a third person. The third person was not identified by police.

The stabbing remain under investigation by Haverhill police and state troopers assigned to the district attorney’s office.

According to city property records, 11 Grove St. is a three-family home owned by Ruddy Garcia.
